Lord, Show Me What Needs to Be Healed
Week 1: Do You Recognize That You Need Healing?
Sometimes we carry emotional wounds for so long that we don’t even recognize how they are affecting our lives. We may recognize the disappointment, frustration, fear, or struggles in our relationships, but have we ever stopped to consider why certain feelings and patterns continue to show up?
In our new Bible study series, Lord, Show Me What Needs to Be Healed, we are taking a closer look at what it means to recognize our need for healing and begin the journey toward restoration.
In Week 1, we explore John 5:1–15, where Jesus encounters a man at the Pool of Bethesda who had been living with his condition for 38 years. Jesus asks him a powerful question: “Do you want to get well?”
The man knew he needed healing, but he believed that receiving it depended on someone helping him into the pool.
How often do we do something similar?
We believe that a better relationship, more money, a new job, or someone finally acknowledging how they hurt us will bring the peace we’ve been searching for.
While changing our circumstances can improve our lives, changing what’s happening around us does not necessarily heal what we’re carrying within us.
Throughout this series, I’ll also introduce and apply my RENEW Method™, built on five pillars: Reflect, Empower, Nurture, Embrace, and Walk Forward. Together, we’ll explore how to recognize emotional wounds, understand patterns that may have developed through past experiences, renew our thinking, and begin making healthier choices.

Remember, recognizing that you need healing is one thing. Understanding what needs to be healed is where the journey begins.
